OPERATIONAL NOTES

  • The operator must be positioned in a safe area, protected from live traffic, with a clear line of sight of at least 120 meters in advance of each lantern to monitor approaching road users.

  • The operator must not undertake any other task while controlling the PTSL system.

  • The maximum operating distance between each traffic lantern should be no more than 400 meters.

  • Each Handheld Remote Controller (HRC) can control 1 or 2 PTSLs as per the traffic control requirements.
